McDermott & North are an acoustic, song writing duo from Brisbane who draw inspiration from the simplicity of the 60’s era. Inspired heavily by the likes of the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Jeff Lynne, these influences transpire in their folk/indie pop songs, complete with catchy melodies and coated with lush harmonies.

Since then, they’ve graced the stages of Hidden Lanes Festival, Caloundra Music Festival and Bluesfest Byron Bay – as a finalist in the Bluesfest Busking Competition 2019.
Having busked and gigged their way from Cairns to Adelaide, In 2018, McDermott and North released their debut, five-track EP ‘The Lemon Tapes’ which achieved no.14 on the Apple Music Singer-Songwriter chart.
